Hand-poured in small batches, each pan reveals the natural texture of mineral pigments, allowing for soft, luminous washes or more saturated passages. The collection reflects the bay’s most intimate moments: the shadowed canyons, sunlit kelp forests, reflective twilight, and rolling currents.

The palette includes six evocative shades:

Abyssal Blue – profound and contemplative, inspired by the hidden depths of Monterey canyon
Kelp Forest Teal – dense and sun-dappled, echoing the gentle sway of underwater forests
Twilight Bay – muted and reflective, like evening light across calm waters
Coastal Upwelling – airy and luminous, inspired by rising coastal currents

Materials and Making

Mineral pigments blended with a natural watercolor binder of distilled water, honey, glycerin, and acacia sap. Each pan is poured by hand and allowed to settle according to studio rhythm, capturing the nuances of color and texture.
