A half pan of artist-grade, lightfast watercolor. This watercolor paint has a soft and gentle hue, and naturally beautiful granulation that can be layered from thick to thin. Each pan is hand poured to exacting traditional recipes and techniques in our studio using the highest quality earth pigments, and natural watercolor binding medium made from distilled water, honey, glycerine, and the sap of acacia trees.

Handcrafted completely from our special non-toxic white pigment whose ingredients are all natural and organic. Swatched in the second photo for comparison in different paper options from white, to kraft, to black so that you can view its milky opaque beauty. 

For anyone curious as to the benefits of a white watercolor I would say to think of the direction from where your light source emanates from when painting (white highlights add dimension and beauty). You can look up and study the Dutch Master Vermeer’s use of white in his famous works such as the ‘Girl with the Pearl Earring’. Also, Snow can be used to mix and blend with another watercolor to tone down and smooth out its vibrancy. I encourage you to play, explore, and have fun in the process.
