Golden Chai Confections is a small batch watercolor palette inspired by the ritual of chai, the warmth of confectionery spices, and softly glowing earth tones.

Each color is handcrafted with care to carry warmth beneath the surface, favoring subtle radiance and harmony over contrast.

Gilded Honey – luminous gold with restrained shimmer
Burnished Praline – warm bronze with soft radiance
Mulled Mulberry – deep wine-toned mulberry with softened edges
Cinnamon Bark – earthy spiced cinnamon grounded and warm
Caramel Cream – gentle caramel with golden warmth
Mocha Veil – milk chocolate brown with warm, luminous undertones

Chai is both ritual and offering, steeped slowly and shared generously. Its spices warm quietly, unfolding with time rather than immediacy. This palette reflects that same sensibility, layered, grounded, and gently luminous.

Only four complete palettes are available as a limited collection. Select colors are also offered individually in small quantities.

Perfect for florals, landscapes, portraits, still life studies, or any work that calls for warmth subtlety, and depth. 

Pigments are formulated to emphasize depth, granulation, and restrained luminosity. These colors are responsive, offering subtle variation across washes and layered passages. The palette favors artists attuned to material dialogue and creative exploration.

Materials and Making

Mineral pigments are blended with a natural watercolor binder composed of distilled water, honey, glycerin, and acacia sap. Each pan is poured by hand and allowed to settle according to the studio's rhythm, preserving the individuality of its surface and texture. All colors are lightfast, with naturally occurring granulation and soft reflective qualities where noted.

Wildthorne palettes support the placement of solitary bee nests in protected habitats throughout the Pacific Northwest, extending the studio practice into ecological stewardship.
