Aurantia Quietis — Field Practice Journal with Pearl Talisman.

The Aurantia Quietis Field Journal in Field Note size is made for sustained observation through longer entries, extended sketches, and the gradual layering of thought over time.

Formed in undyed Italian vegetable-tanned leather, each cover is left in its natural state. The surface is soft, unsealed, and responsive, designed to shift through contact with light, handling, and daily use. Over time, it deepens in tone and develops a patina unique to its carrying.

There are no internal pockets or added structures. The form is intentionally reduced—a continuous leather surface that holds a notebook and remains open to change. It is built to support focus, not interrupt it.

Inside rests a Field Notes-sized lined notebook, chosen for its balance of structure and openness. This format allows for both writing and drawing, supporting a range of practices: observation, mapping, sketching, and reflection.

This scale invites a slower rhythm. A place where thoughts are not only captured, but returned to, where marks made accumulate and begin to form continuity.

Each journal includes a freshwater pearl talisman, adorning the cover as a small, tangible point of return. Formed through gradual layering over time, the pearl illuminates the nature of our creative practice itself, something that is built slowly, through repetition, and attention.

The presence of the pearl is quiet, symbolic in nature, and grounding. A reminder of touch, weight, and continuity within the act of recording.

Each piece is hand-finished and offered in limited form.

The leather cover measures approximately 6 x 8.5 inches when fully opened (lay-flat measurement), and folds to fit the 4 x 6 inch insert.
