Sandalwood · Blush Silk · Shell & Baroque Pearl
Grounded, aromatic, and quietly austere, this mala was conceived as a contemplative object—balancing monastic simplicity with the atmospheric textures of the Northern California coast.
Crafted from authentic Santalum album sandalwood beads and hand-strung on warm blush silk cord, the strand carries the subtle fragrance and warmth long associated with contemplative practice. Discreet hidden knots, placed at 21-bead intervals, provide a gentle tactile guide during breathwork, meditation, or mantra recitation.
The strand concludes with a naturally weathered hand-gathered shell and an organically shaped baroque freshwater pearl, replacing the traditional tassel with a sculptural coastal focal point that feels intimate, enduring, and timeless.
Refined enough for everyday wear yet deeply intentional in its construction, this piece is designed to develop character and beauty through touch, ritual, and time.
Created beneath the Jupiter–Venus conjunction—long regarded as a fortunate celestial meeting of beauty and benevolence—and completed during the Moon’s hour, in quiet recognition of intuition, memory, and tidal rhythm. The finished piece was additionally ritually fumigated with a precise blend of Himalayan mountain herbs and fired botanicals, imparting a subtle atmosphere of smoke, resin, earth, and coastal air.
