An Exploration

A small-format watercolor pan, made for close looking.

Neda is a studio-developed color, shaped with attention to tone, granulation, and layering potential. Offered here as an Exploration, it is intended as a material to engage with directly and over time.

This format is suited to testing and quiet study, an opportunity to spend time with a single hue before it finds its place in a larger palette.

The pigment reveals a natural granulation, moving from concentrated passages to lighter, more open washes as water is introduced.

Materials and Making

Neda is made with artist-grade mineral pigments and a traditional watercolor binder of distilled water, honey, glycerin, and acacia sap. Each pan is hand-poured in small batches and allowed to settle naturally.

Compatible with standard watercolor palettes.

This listing is for one Exploration pan. Larger formats are available separately.

Context

Every Wildthorne watercolor supports the placement of solitary bee nests in protected habitats across the Pacific Northwest, contributing to long-term pollinator stewardship.

Made slowly. Subject to availability.
