For Day 28 of our Art journal series let’s experiment with a splatter effect using our watercolors.

Load your brush with watercolor paint and then lift the brush up off the paper and gently tap it to create a splatter effect across the page. You can use multiple different colors for a layered look and even include shimmers and metallics.
You can practice this technique directly onto your journal page or you can also paint a wash with your watercolors first, and then while the paint is still wet splatter different hues on top and watch them disperse into unique patterns.
