Clary Sage is a herbaceous perennial from the mint family (Lamiaceae), native to the northern Mediterranean Basin, North Africa, and Central Asia. Today, it flourishes worldwide, both in cultivated gardens and in the wild. Derived from the Latin clarus, meaning “clear,” Clary Sage has long been revered across cultures for its healing and spiritual qualities—celebrated as a herb that brings clarity to both vision and mind.
