A midnight talisman invoking protection, courage, and strength, named after the pestle wielded by the goddess Tara, which crushes all evil intentions and obstacles in Tibetan Buddhism. Here, the ‘Nyingma’ is reimagined in crystalline form as a jet-black faceted Onyx gemstone necklace.

Symbolically, the ‘Nyingma’ necklace becomes a metaphysical pestle, transmuting and destroying negativity, averting enemies, and shielding the heart and psyche from ill intent.

As a prominent Buddhist deity, Black Tara’s enlightened and invincible energy is likened to that of a mother elephant, provoked to righteous anger in defense of her children. Known as the most protective of all Buddhist enlightened aspects, Black Tara's divine wrath is so formidable that it strikes swift as lightning, much like the protective anger of a mother.

Genuine semi-precious gemstones are complemented by an array of glass beads forged in martial fire for protection. This jeweled creation was handcrafted during a particularly auspicious lunar election and will be subfumigated and wrapped in layers of meaningful materia from our local studio forest before reaching its new owner. Suitable for all genders, it is designed for those who wish to invoke protection, enforce strong emotional boundaries, and serve as a touchstone of strength during the waxing and waning tides of life.

Each inch of every strand has been created mindfully with a heuristic of graceful flow. Please note that there is no clasp, this bead-strand necklace slips over your head in a fluid motion with grace in a symbolic circle. 

** As the crystals in this necklace are natural there may be slight variations in colors and surface textures. Also, any lines or marks in the crystals are not cracks but a natural inclusion and are a part of the unique patterning within the stone. This showcases the crystal's inherent beauty as minerals come from the Earth. 

This necklace will come beautifully gift-wrapped ready to be gifted either as a treat for yourself or another.

Care Instructions: I recommend that this necklace be rinsed in cool water when you wish to clean it and gently blotted dry. When not being worn I also recommend that you store your necklace in its original box that it was sent in, or wrapped in a soft cloth.
